Paul Pascoe, Professional Safety Solutions: Paul is a very experienced provider of health and safety training, OHS consultancy services and presenter. He is a Chartered Professional Member of the Safety Institute of Australia and an International Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. His presentation, Risk Maker-Risk Taker – A Manager’s Guide to Risk will discuss the specific steps in the Risk Management process.
Dr. Louis Francescutti, Alberta Centre for Injury Control and Prevention: Using cell phones while driving is potentially becoming the most neglected public health epidemic in Canada. Cell phones have transferred cars into secondary work environments resulting in driver distraction which leads to preventable injuries and death. Dr. Louis Francescutti presentation will discuss how our roads can be made safer by reducing or eliminating cell phone use while driving.
Paolo Naccarato, Ergonomics Consultant , WCB: Paolo Naccarato is a Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist (CCPE) and has been employed with the Workers’ Compensation Board – Alberta for the past eighteen years conducting 4,000 ergonomics assessments. Paolo’s presentations will focus on ergonomic awareness and how it relates to workplace health and safety.
Don Szarko, Alberta Motor Association: Don Szarko is the manager of Advocacy and Community Services, for the Alberta Motor Association. His presentation will include information on what is on the mind of Alberta drivers, survey results on attitudes, travel behaviours, and employee safe driving attitudes.
