Join fellow safety professionals for a lunch and learn with Dennis French to learn about Hazardous Building Materials Awareness.
This will be bringing awareness to the varied hazards that are both regulated under the legislation as well as those issues that pose a health risk to persons entering or working in impacted buildings. You will walk away with an understanding of what asbestos is and the regulation governing removal, factors that result in mould growth, regulations and health considerations regarding lead and lead paint in buildings and radon gas, which is a newer health consideration that has been added to the 2016 building code for evaluation.
This lunch and learn will bring a basic understanding to some of the hazards present in buildings that have had an insurance-related loss or for coverage determination.
